Head of Finance – Consumer Bank & Wealth

About the role

Westpac is seeking a Head of Finance to partner with the Consumer Bank & Wealth leadership team in Auckland. This senior leadership role combines strategic financial oversight with a collaborative, people‑focused approach, influencing commercial outcomes across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to drive commercial and financial outcomes.
• Provide clear, timely financial analysis and insights across the business.
• Translate complex performance data into practical, actionable advice.
• Oversee forecasting, target setting, and financial governance.
• Present confidently to executive audiences, enabling strong decision‑making.
• Lead, coach, and grow a capable and engaged finance team.

Required profile

• Senior‑level partnering experience in a complex, performance‑driven environment.
• Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to influence at executive level.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to diverse audiences.
• Solid understanding of banking metrics, revenue and funds transfer pricing.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• CA (or equivalent) qualification with significant banking experience.
