Customer Service Representative – On Call

About the role

Join NZ Post’s Nelson Operations Centre in Stoke as an On‑Call Customer Service Representative. You will provide exceptional support to customers via phone and email, handling inquiries, damaged or undelivered freight, and coordinating with delivery partners. The role is flexible, calling you in as needed to cover illness, leave or peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email, delivering timely and accurate information.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged or undelivered freight items.
• Maintain accurate records and perform data‑entry tasks to support site operations.
• Collaborate with delivery partners and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Provide on‑call coverage during scheduled shifts (7 am‑5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday).

Required profile

• Available to work on‑call between 7 am‑5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to think quickly.
• Excellent administration and data‑entry skills.
• Confidence interacting with people from diverse backgrounds via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand and willingness to undergo a drug test and security check.
