Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

The Commercial Finance Manager will join the leadership team of a leading food manufacturer, providing financial insight and partnering with Sales and Operations to drive margin improvement, cost efficiency and sustainable growth. This hands‑on role covers end‑to‑end financial management, reporting and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end financial statements and management reports
• Manage cashflow, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct commercial analysis to enhance profitability
• Oversee credit control and payroll for waged staff
• Lead a part‑time AP/AR team member, setting expectations and building capability
• Provide board‑level reporting and support strategic planning with the CEO

Required profile

• Commercially astute finance leader with strong technical capability and business insight
• Proven experience in financial management, reporting and people leadership
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, operational environment and influence stakeholders
• Experience in a commercial trading environment and exposure to manufacturing or FMCG
• Excellent time‑management and a passion for continuous improvement
