About the role
Rocket Lab is seeking a CNC Operator to join its manufacturing team. You will work in a clean, controlled environment producing highly complex components for rockets and satellites. The role offers a fast‑paced schedule with a fortnightly rotating shift pattern.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and align CNC machines, including fixture installation and work coordinate system definition.
- Load tools, perform tool setting, and conduct dry runs and simulations to verify program safety.
- Inspect and measure parts in‑process using precision measuring equipment.
- Support research and development tasks as required.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably with composite machining.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
