CNC Operator

About the role

Rocket Lab is seeking a CNC Operator to join its manufacturing team. You will work in a clean, controlled environment producing highly complex components for rockets and satellites. The role offers a fast‑paced schedule with a fortnightly rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and align CNC machines, including fixture installation and work coordinate system definition.
• Load tools, perform tool setting, and conduct dry runs and simulations to verify program safety.
• Inspect and measure parts in‑process using precision measuring equipment.
• Support research and development tasks as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably with composite machining.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
