Casual Plant & Terminal Operator – Tauranga

About the role

Join SGS’s Tauranga operations as a casual Plant & Terminal Operator, handling the loading and unloading of bulk liquids such as petroleum fuels, diesel, chemicals, tallow and bitumen. This role operates 24/7, so flexibility across day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload a variety of bulk liquid shipments safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual handling tasks and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Follow strict operating procedures and health‑safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate written records of operations.
• Assist with additional duties as needed, based on skills and attitude.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage time and work in a busy environment.
• Reliable, committed team member who is physically fit.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Current full Class A New Zealand driver licence (essential).
