About the role

Join the friendly team at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village in Avalon, Lower Hutt as a full‑time Barista. You will craft consistently delicious coffee for residents, relatives and visitors while contributing to a welcoming, caring atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and beverage drinks to high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area.
• Provide excellent food and beverage service to residents, relatives and visitors.
• Promote a warm, supportive environment within the village.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support team operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Barista in a busy café environment.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with empathy for residents.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
