About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Huxley's, a vibrant café located beneath the Beehive in Wellington. The successful candidate will be the face of our coffee service, delivering high‑quality drinks and a welcoming atmosphere to our diverse clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso‑based drinks and a variety of coffee beverages to a consistently high standard.
• Serve customers with a friendly, upbeat attitude, ensuring each guest feels valued.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and surrounding areas.
• Contribute to a lively, positive vibe throughout the venue, especially during busy periods.
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth, fast‑paced service.

Required profile

• Out‑of‑this‑world positive attitude and a passion for hospitality.
• At least one year of experience working in a busy café or similar venue.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while keeping energy high.
• Strong team‑player mindset and excellent customer‑service skills.
