Accounting and Controls Manager ANZ

About the role

Clorox is seeking an Accounting & Controls Manager for its ANZ operations. The role combines technical accounting expertise with strong leadership to safeguard financial integrity, drive process excellence, and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accurate accruals, balance‑sheet reviews, GL reconciliations and US GAAP reporting.
• Manage internal and external audits, prepare statutory financial statements and key audit deliverables.
• Act as the US GAAP technical expert, researching standards, maintaining policies and assessing emerging accounting impacts.
• Strengthen internal controls across R2R, P2P and O2C processes, conduct quarterly trade‑spend accrual reviews and remediate gaps.
• Oversee SOX compliance for ANZ PMUs and drive automation initiatives to improve control effectiveness.
• Manage GST, FBT and corporate income tax compliance in partnership with external advisors and regulatory bodies.
• Lead, coach and develop two direct reports, fostering capability and continuous improvement.
• Drive finance process improvement, automation projects and provide operational support for payroll and employee benefits.
