About the role

DoorDash is looking for an Account Executive to grow its restaurant portfolio across New Zealand. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to signing new SMB restaurant partners, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, pitch, and close new SMB restaurant partners, ranging from local favourites to emerging venues.
  • Develop and execute a strategic acquisition plan for your territory, prioritising high‑value prospects.
  • Leverage market intelligence, competitive insights, and platform data to craft compelling pitches.
  • Negotiate contracts, address objections, and secure long‑term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Strategy teams to accelerate merchant onboarding and first orders.
  • Monitor competitor activity, dining trends, and merchant sentiment to inform strategy and share insights.

Required profile

  • 4+ years of B2B sales, business development, or new‑business acquisition experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting, pipeline management, and hunter mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills – persuasive on phone, email, and in person.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel across New Zealand and holds a valid full New Zealand driver licence.
