Transaction Services Manager / Senior Manager / Associate Director

About the role

KPMG New Zealand is seeking a Manager, Senior Manager or Associate Director to join its Transaction Services team within Deal Advisory. You will work on some of New Zealand’s most high‑profile transactions, collaborating across M&A, valuations, restructuring and other advisory services while helping to grow the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage client projects, interacting directly with clients and target companies.
• Provide strategic, commercial and investment advice on complex transactions.
• Analyse issues, identify root causes and develop technically sound solutions aligned with client needs.
• Build trusted relationships with senior and mid‑level executives and key stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to add value for clients.

Required profile

• Prior experience in transaction diligence or M&A work, preferably within a professional services firm.
• Chartered accountant qualification or equivalent finance/business credential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to simplify complex concepts.
• Proven track record of managing staff and delivering high‑quality technical work.
• Collaborative mindset with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
