Team Experience Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Team Experience Leader to drive store‑wide scheduling, training and workforce planning at Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand. In this role you will partner with store leadership to optimise the Right Team, Right Task, Right Time approach, ensuring excellent service for customers and a supportive environment for team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise store‑wide team rosters to maximise service levels while staying within budget and rostering principles.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programmes covering multi‑skilling and compliance requirements.
• Conduct strategic workforce planning, including annual leave, succession planning and certification tracking.
• Review weekly payroll for accuracy and resolve escalated process‑related issues.
• Act as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts, providing leadership and fostering collaboration.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Effective team leadership through delegation, coaching and motivation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Data‑driven mindset with accountability for delivering accurate results on time.
