Systems Engineer – Onsite School & Office Support

About the role

Join a people‑first ICT team delivering solutions to schools, hospitals and businesses across Hawke’s Bay. As a Systems Engineer you will split your time between on‑site support at a local school and office‑based work for a diverse client base, ensuring technology runs smoothly for every user.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support on‑site for staff and students, handling service requests for Windows PCs, printers, mobile devices, wireless and audiovisual equipment.
• Maintain server environments, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory across multiple client sites.
• Resolve remote tickets, troubleshoot complex issues and support cloud platforms and datacenters.
• Collaborate with the wider GCT team, share insights, and escalate problems when needed.

Required profile

• Current experience in a systems‑engineer or similar role with hands‑on troubleshooting.
• IT degree or diploma preferred; experience in an MSP environment is a strong advantage.
• Enjoys direct customer interaction and can build rapport quickly.
• Willingness to spend half the week on‑site at a school.
