About the role
Everbridge is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join its Auckland engineering team. You will work on the company’s agentic AI platform that powers its SaaS solution, collaborating with a diverse technology stack and a technology‑agnostic mindset.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high‑quality applications and APIs.
- Participate in technical discussions, providing insights to improve architecture, scalability, and performance.
- Conduct code reviews and give constructive feedback.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operation of web applications and APIs.
Required profile
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience developing AI solutions or a strong eagerness to learn.
- Familiarity with agentic AI practices and related coding tools.
- Proven ability to work on large code‑base or enterprise‑grade software.
- Interest in solving complex problems that help keep people safe.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
