About the role
Fabrum is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of high‑impact mechanical solutions for its cutting‑edge cryogenic and hydrogen technologies. This hands‑on technical leadership position combines precision design with direct contribution to clean‑energy projects.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture.
- Perform engineering calculations and ensure designs comply with relevant standards and codes.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Provide technical leadership and troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers to build team capability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, systems, and ways of working.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or higher).
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience with hands‑on exposure to manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in process industries such as oil & gas, dairy, or energy is a plus.
- Familiarity with pressure systems, cryogenic applications, and international standards (e.g., ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, AS1210) is desirable.
Required skills
- Strong proficiency in CAD, preferably SolidWorks, including 3D modelling, assemblies and drawings.
- Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3 and AS1210 standards.
- Experience with pressure systems and cryogenic applications.
