About the role
SkyCity is seeking a Senior Manager – Compliance and Conduct to join its Group Risk team in Auckland. This senior leadership position will guide the development and execution of compliance and conduct risk programmes, ensuring policies, standards and controls are embedded across daily operations and major change initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end compliance and conduct risk programmes, including policy implementation and control frameworks.
- Manage the compliance incident lifecycle, from triage through escalation to resolution.
- Oversee the Safe2Tell whistleblowing process and related investigations.
- Provide practical, risk‑based advice to senior leaders across the business.
- Drive control assurance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support reporting and insights for senior leadership and the Board Risk & Compliance Committee.
- Champion a strong risk and conduct culture throughout SkyCity.
- Act as a trusted Line 2 Risk Partner and deputy to the Compliance and Conduct Lead when required.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in risk, compliance or legal roles within a regulated environment.
- Proven track record leading compliance or conduct risk programmes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk‑management practices.
- Ability to influence, challenge and partner with senior stakeholders.
- Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building capability.
- Self‑starter who can work at pace, manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Experience in financial crime, conduct risk or whistleblowing frameworks is highly valued.
