Senior Manager – Business & Agri Banking

About the role

The Senior Manager role sits at the heart of ANZ's Business & Agri team in Christchurch and the West Coast. You will lead a high‑performing group of Relationship Associates and Managers, driving exceptional outcomes for local businesses while shaping strategy and culture across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Relationship Associates and Relationship Managers to consistently deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
• Apply Agri‑banking expertise to support sound decision‑making, credit assessment and team performance.
• Represent ANZ in local markets, engaging with customers, community groups and industry events.
• Help design and embed frameworks that ensure consistency in credit practices, training and operational models.
• Champion a culture of accountability, inclusion and data‑informed thinking.

Required profile

• People‑focused leader with strong experience in business and/or Agri lending, financial analysis and relationship management.
• Proven ability to coach and empower teams, creating a positive, high‑performing culture.
• Solid understanding of credit, financial statements and the needs of Agri banking clients.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
