Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Serko is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage the cloud infrastructure that powers its global travel and expense platform. You will work across Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring the environment is secure, cost‑effective, and highly available.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
• Optimize cost and scalability to support worldwide web traffic and workloads.
• Contribute to a company‑wide Disaster Recovery strategy and handle incident remediation.
• Define and drive automation strategies to reduce manual processes.
• Advocate best practices in tooling, deployment, observability, and AI adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to provide required infrastructure, monitoring, and troubleshooting support.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.

Required profile

• Experienced individual contributor with deep knowledge of cloud technologies.
• Proven ability to scope initiatives, deliver independently, and guide peers through complex problems.
• Leadership mindset: ship high‑quality work, lift team members, and influence engineering processes.
