eCommerce Engineer – Specialist (Hub Services)

About the role

Step into a role where your work shapes the online experiences of thousands of customers every day. As a Specialist eCommerce Engineer you will enhance and expand our Shopify‑based digital storefronts, ensuring they run smoothly, faster and smarter.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance and optimise eCommerce platforms and supporting web applications for reliable, high‑performing customer experiences.
• Develop responsive front‑end solutions using React, Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create clear and intuitive user journeys.
• Build and support API‑based integrations between web applications and systems such as ServiceNow to enable smooth fulfilment and service workflows.
• Implement new features, Shopify apps, React components and third‑party integrations while ensuring ecosystem compatibility.
• Monitor platform and application performance, identify issues and troubleshoot across front‑end and integration layers.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, operations and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable eCommerce solutions.
• Support discovery and early scoping for new services and enhancements within the Hub eCommerce environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and maintaining Shopify platforms, including themes, configuration and optimisation.
• Strong front‑end development capability with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify Liquid.
• Confidence working with API‑based integrations and solving integration challenges across multiple systems.
• Understanding of eCommerce best practices such as UX, SEO and conversion optimisation.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and work openly with cross‑functional teams.
• Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST APIs, workflows or webhooks) is a plus but not essential.
