Security Site Supervisor – University Campus (Hamilton)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Site Supervisor to take full operational ownership of security service delivery at a dedicated university campus in Hamilton. You will lead a team of security staff, maintain high service standards, and act as the primary liaison with the client.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day delivery of security services, ensuring all shifts are covered and compliant.
• Serve as escalation point for incidents, emergencies, and emerging risks.
• Be the primary client contact and contribute to regular site meetings.
• Set expectations, drive service improvements, and manage performance, attendance, wellbeing and team culture.
• Work with Operations Coordinators on rosters and leave planning.
• Maintain current COA, site training and inductions.
• Enforce SOPs and site procedures through visible leadership.
• Oversee incident response, reporting and investigations.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Additional duties: patrolling, lock‑up/un‑lock, egress checks, CCTV monitoring, and other operational tasks.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in security or similar operational environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Calm under pressure with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Current Green Certificate of Approval (COA) or ability to obtain one.
• Experience managing a complex site with multiple stakeholders.
• Professional client‑facing leadership experience.
