About the role
This 12‑month parental‑leave cover offers a senior professional the chance to lead health and safety compliance across a fast‑growing, globally‑operating Kiwi business. You will work closely with executive leadership to embed a unified safety culture and prepare the organisation for future ISO alignment.
Key responsibilities
- Foster strong partnership approaches across all business units.
- Review, improve and monitor operational health & safety compliance.
- Prepare and present board reports and participate in Governance Group meetings.
- Manage employee‑led safety networks.
- Unify a global approach to critical risk areas.
Required profile
- Senior‑level health & safety professional with experience in a blue‑collar environment.
- Calm confidence and a mature, positive partnering style.
- Deep knowledge of New Zealand health & safety legislation.
- Ideally holds a NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience writing and presenting board reports and collaborating with executive leadership.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Teams.
