About the role
The Risk & Assurance Advisor will support Auckland University of Technology’s Corporate Governance directorate in strengthening risk management and assurance capabilities across the university. This permanent, full‑time position reports to the Senior Risk Manager and contributes to a collaborative, future‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively support effective risk management processes and assurance activities.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across the university’s governance framework.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, Council, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Contribute to internal and external audit activities, business continuity planning, and policy development.
Required profile
- Background in risk, assurance, audit or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to present complex information clearly.
