About the role
Mercy Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its In‑Patient Unit (IPU) in Auckland. You will provide holistic palliative care to patients with life‑limiting illnesses and support their families and whānau.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver physical, emotional, social and spiritual care to in‑patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with the IPU team to maintain a supportive environment.
- Participate in 24/7 rostered shifts to ensure continuous care.
- Document patient information accurately and use IT systems for care coordination.
Required profile
- Current NZ Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience (palliative care preferred but not essential); new graduates will also be considered.
- Passion for providing high‑quality, holistic care.
- Ability to work flexible, rostered shifts.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
