Project Controller

About the role

ABB is looking for a Project Controller to join its Critical Power business in Napier, Hawke's Bay. You will support the Business Controller by supervising project execution, ensuring schedules, costs, cash flow and risks are well‑managed.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise project execution and performance through schedule, cost, cash and risk planning.
• Analyse project requirements and verify that all essential activities are identified for realistic scheduling.
• Monitor progress, analyse critical paths, flag deviations and suggest resource optimisation.
• Support risk review processes, identify and proactively escalate project risks.
• Ensure projects are closed in line with customer contracts together with the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project planning, scheduling and cost control in complex environments.
• Experience working in regulated settings with knowledge of HSE requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
