Senior Consultant – Financial Advisory (Public Sector)

About the role

Morrison Low Advisory is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Financial Advisory practice, supporting local and central government clients in Auckland or Wellington. You will work on real‑world projects that help public‑sector organisations make sound financial decisions and deliver lasting community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for long‑term planning and sustainability assessments.
• Conduct business case analysis, options assessments, and revenue/pricing model development.
• Create financial policies and strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Translate complex financial information into clear, plain‑English reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, working on‑site, from offices, or remotely as required.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Required profile

• Relevant degree with 5+ years of experience in finance, preferably within the public sector or consultancy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, think critically, and solve problems in real time.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills.
• Creative, client‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering implementable solutions.
