Tax Compliance Analyst – Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Compliance Analyst to join our Operations team at our Head Office in Tauranga. Reporting to the Tax Compliance Manager, you will support day‑to‑day tax compliance activities, maintain data integrity in tax and custodial systems, and assist with regulatory reporting across monthly, quarterly and annual cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily tax compliance tasks and ensure accurate filing deadlines are met.
• Maintain and validate data in tax and custodial systems.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports.
• Identify and reconcile data anomalies, escalating risks or exceptions as needed.
• Support the Tax Compliance Manager with regulatory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in tax compliance and financial services operations.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand tax system and tax accounting principles.
• Familiarity with global tax regimes such as FATCA, CRS and U.S. tax rules (QI regime, Chapters 3 & 4).
• Advanced data‑analysis capability with experience handling large, complex data sets.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to adapt to change.
