Principal Consultant – Strategic & Advisory (Contract)

About the role

ClearPoint is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead high‑impact technology strategy engagements during a period of rapid growth. The role bridges deep technical expertise with strategic narrative, ensuring that advisory outputs align with client governance and business objectives. While based in Auckland, the position is open to candidates anywhere in New Zealand and can be full‑time or part‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Business and Product Context discovery workshops and translate findings into clear roadmap narratives.
• Own overall client engagement, monitoring scope, risk, and delivery quality.
• Provide strategic advisory input, guiding stakeholder management and governance checkpoints.
• Manage RFP processes for platform selection and ensure alignment of all project outputs.

Required profile

• Proven track record in technology strategy engagements and platform selection RFPs.
• Ability to distill complex technical architecture into business‑level guidance.
• Strong facilitation skills for discovery sessions and synthesis workshops.
• Experience ensuring strategic alignment across roadmaps, evaluation frameworks, and deliverables.
