Business Consultant (Intermediate Level)

About the role

Foster Moore International is seeking an intermediate‑level Business Consultant to join its Auckland team. You will work closely with customers, project teams and product specialists to translate business needs into scalable, best‑practice solutions for national and international registries.

Key responsibilities

• Engage client stakeholders to understand processes, objectives and pain points through workshops and discovery sessions.
• Document clear business and functional requirements, create process maps and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and project managers to estimate work, confirm scope and ensure delivery aligns with product capabilities.
• Design solution proposals that follow product best practice, minimise customisation and work with technical teams to validate feasibility.
• Act as Scrum Product Owner: manage the backlog, define acceptance criteria, lead sprint ceremonies and maintain project documentation.
• Support development, system testing, UAT and data migration activities to ensure solutions meet design intent.

Required profile

• Intermediate (mid‑level) experience in business analysis, solution design and client engagement.
• Proven ability to work across the full project lifecycle in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for both business and technical audiences.
• Experience acting as a Scrum Product Owner or in agile project environments.
