People & Performance Advisor – Tourism Experience

About the role

Join RealNZ as a People & Performance Advisor and help shape a positive workplace across some of New Zealand’s most iconic tourism destinations. You will partner with operational leaders and employees to deliver HR support, build leadership capability, and foster a culture where people feel supported and empowered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance on employee relations and people matters.
• Support performance, development, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.
• Coach leaders through people conversations, change initiatives, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
• Deliver reporting, insights, and people‑related administration.
• Help embed positive culture and people practices across operational teams.
• Support learning and development initiatives throughout the business.
• Travel regularly to sites including Te Anau, Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Rakiura, and Queenstown.

Required profile

• Approachable and solutions‑focused with a passion for people experiences.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Confidence handling employee relations and performance conversations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
• Practical mindset with sound judgement and problem‑solving ability.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Resilience, initiative, and genuine passion for supporting people and culture.
