Senior Talent Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Talent Advisor to join our Auckland team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how we attract, recruit and develop top talent, overseeing both our Early Careers programme and end‑to‑end recruitment across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment cycles for a variety of roles, partnering closely with hiring managers.
• Lead the design, development and delivery of the Early Careers programme, including graduates, interns and cadetships.
• Represent Tonkin + Taylor at universities, career fairs and industry events to promote the employer brand.
• Support and present at industry forums and networking sessions, engaging with engineering and science bodies.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines, staying abreast of market trends and insights.
• Collaborate with the wider Talent team on projects covering employer branding, diversity & inclusion, international attraction, workforce planning, data insights and privacy.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a recruitment or talent acquisition role.
• Proven stakeholder management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication, influencing and networking skills.
• Curious mindset with a focus on delivering great outcomes for candidates and hiring managers.
• Collaborative, team‑first attitude and strong organisational detail.
• Ability to work at pace, juggle priorities and demonstrate commercial awareness.
