Part-time Duty Manager – Retail Store

About the role

This part‑time Duty Manager position is based at Kmart Richmond Mall and works 24 hours per week across Thursday, Friday and Saturday (3:30 pm – midnight). You will lead the store team, ensure smooth operations during busy evening periods and uphold Kmart’s standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a diverse team of retail staff during assigned shifts.
• Maintain store policies, health and safety procedures, and visual merchandising standards.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor sales performance and drive results to meet targets.
• Adapt to changing store needs and support teammates as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a manager in a big‑box or high‑volume retail environment.
• Proven ability to coach, develop and inspire large teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, customer focus and continuous improvement.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with staff, peers and customers.
