Lead Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to shape the user experience across our client’s digital gaming portfolio. You will work on external products, marketing sites and internal tools, driving both functionality and visual design.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee UI development for external products, marketing websites and internal systems.
• Define and lead frontend technical strategy within a cross‑functional team.
• Build interfaces that expose backend capabilities as user‑facing features.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to refine user flows, interactions and usability.
• Manage the full lifecycle from concept through production support, debugging and optimisation.
• Balance project delivery with business‑as‑usual support and identify performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience delivering production‑grade web applications.
• Pragmatic engineering mindset with ability to switch between projects and improve legacy code.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with React or Vue and UI state management.
• Working knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Building reusable UI components and patterns.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Practical experience with WordPress themes and plugins.
• Understanding of web performance, accessibility and SEO best practices.
