About the role
Join the vibrant kitchen team at Novotel Wellington and become the secret ingredient behind our guests' memorable dining experiences. As a Kitchen Hand you will support daily kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Handle waste removal and recycling, keeping disposal areas tidy.
- Support the storage and organization of kitchen supplies.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Required profile
- Willingness to work a flexible roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Motivated, driven and strong organisational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, permanent resident or valid work visa).
