HR Advisor – New Zealand (ANZ)

About the role

This permanent position is the lead HR function for New Zealand within a global manufacturing organisation. Working closely with an Australia‑based HR team, you will deliver a consistent, commercially focused people strategy across the ANZ region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for New Zealand, partnering with business leaders.
• Embed and deliver the ANZ HR strategy locally.
• Support organisational design, workforce planning and capability development.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and employee relations, including performance management, investigations and restructures.
• Lead compensation and benefits activities such as salary benchmarking, remuneration reviews, incentive processes and benefits administration.
• Oversee annual salary review cycles and market analysis across ANZ.
• Maintain HR operations, systems, data and payroll coordination.
• Drive engagement, culture and internal communications initiatives.
• Provide reporting and insights on headcount, turnover and people costs.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong HR generalist experience, preferably in a multi‑site or regional environment.
• Exposure to compensation & benefits, remuneration reviews or reward processes.
• Proven ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing employee‑relations matters end‑to‑end.
• Proactive, organised approach with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Commercial awareness and data‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or spreadsheet capability.
