About the role
Pro Magma Co Limited is seeking a motivated Junior Health & Safety and HR Coordinator on a part‑time basis. This role offers university or polytechnic students hands‑on experience in both safety and people processes within a fast‑paced civil construction environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Directors and Managers with day‑to‑day H&S and HR coordination tasks.
- Support the maintenance of Health & Safety systems, documentation, and incident reporting.
- Help prepare Site‑Specific Safety Plans and record toolbox meeting minutes.
- Maintain training, competency, and compliance registers, tracking licence and certification expiries.
- Assist onboarding of new employees, preparing induction packs and collecting documentation.
- Provide HR administrative support including contracts, policies, and internal communications.
- Coordinate training sessions, inductions, and staff records.
- Enter data and maintain spreadsheets for management reporting.
- Support internal audits by ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Monitor PPE stock and assist with ordering.
- Follow up on missing documentation from staff and subcontractors.
- Join occasional site visits to gain practical exposure.
Required profile
- Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Health & Safety, Human Resources, Business or a related field.
- Eagerness to learn and build a career in H&S and/or HR.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with people.
- Positive attitude and willingness to get involved.
Required skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
