Group Finance and Tax Lead

About the role

Gallagher is seeking a Group Finance and Tax Lead to head its global finance function. The role combines financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury and strategic finance leadership across the company’s international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group consolidation, statutory reporting and audit processes.
• Oversee New Zealand and Australia tax compliance, governance and transfer‑pricing activities.
• Support treasury oversight and broader financial risk management.
• Drive ERP and finance‑systems initiatives from a governance and compliance perspective.
• Improve finance processes, reporting frameworks and internal controls.
• Provide financial insight to executive and governance stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Build strong relationships across Gallagher’s global operations and external partners.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial reporting, compliance and tax within a complex, multinational environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in NZ and AU tax, including transfer‑pricing.
• Proven ability to operate within robust corporate governance frameworks.
• Strategic, commercially minded leadership style.
