Assistant Manager – Audit

About the role

Deloitte’s Hamilton Audit team is seeking an Assistant Manager with 3‑4 years of audit experience to join a leading professional services firm. You will work with a diverse client base across corporate, private and public sectors, delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Present findings and recommend or implement advisory advice for clients.
• Review and produce written advice, reports, memoranda and other deliverables.
• Apply analytical thinking and problem‑solving to shape client business strategies.
• Address complex audit and risk advisory issues, understanding stakeholder needs.
• Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with clients, teams and individuals.
• Deliver exceptional client service while fostering collaboration across borders.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of audit experience in a corporate Chartered Accountant environment.
• Professional qualification such as CA or an equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work with IFRS and New Zealand accounting standards.
• Strong analytical, numerical and research skills.
• Proven project‑management capability and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
