Finance Manager – 6‑Month Contract (Potential Permanent)

About the role
Our client, a fast‑growing manufacturing business in Manukau, is seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to join the team on a six‑month contract with the possibility of a permanent position. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening financial controls, reporting, and cash management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead month‑end reporting, financial control processes and management reporting.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll functions across local and offshore teams, ensuring governance and accuracy.
- Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, manage treasury activities, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and audit requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and reporting.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager handling end‑to‑end finance responsibilities.
- Background in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to SAP.
- Demonstrated ability to improve and embed processes, including reducing month‑end close time.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with offshore teams.
