About the role
The Director of Public Transport and Active Modes is seeking an Executive Assistant on a secondment basis until 31 August 2026. The role provides high‑quality executive support, ensuring the Director’s schedule, communications and stakeholder engagements align with the division’s strategic vision.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Director’s calendar, travel arrangements and related paperwork.
- Collaborate with all business areas to support the Director’s initiatives.
- Oversee the division’s forward‑planning framework, prepare updates for senior leadership meetings and ensure governance deadlines are met.
- Develop presentations, briefings and advice materials for internal and external stakeholders, including elected members and government agencies.
- Assist with issue resolution by drafting responses to correspondence and queries.
- Contribute to division objectives and reporting for both internal and external audiences.
Required profile
- Minimum four years’ experience in a busy professional office environment, preferably as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or Secretary handling sensitive information.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Accurate typing speed of at least 70 words per minute.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
