Checkout Team Member – Fixed Term (Queenstown)

About the role

The Warehouse is seeking a Checkout Team Member for its Queenstown store on a fixed‑term basis until 30 April 2027. Working Tuesday to Saturday, you will be the front‑line face of the store, delivering fast, friendly service to shoppers at the checkout.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer purchases efficiently using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Maintain a clean, organised checkout area and ensure all equipment is functional.
• Provide accurate information, handle enquiries and resolve minor issues with a positive attitude.
• Support fellow team members during busy periods and assist with store duties as needed.

Required profile

• Enjoy working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light items.
• Problem‑solving mindset and patience when dealing with challenging situations.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with retail point‑of‑sale technology.
