About the role
Mountain Warehouse is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in delivering an exceptional shopping experience in Nelson. You will help lead daily operations, support a high‑performing team, and uphold the brand’s standards.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to lead, motivate and develop a collaborative team.
- Maintain visual merchandising, housekeeping and health‑and‑safety standards.
- Assist with recruitment, training and retention of staff.
- Support sales targets, monitor KPIs and manage stock replenishment.
- Implement loss‑prevention measures and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, address feedback and build community connections.
Required profile
- Passionate about creating outstanding customer experiences.
- Proven retail leadership with a track record of achieving targets.
- Clear, confident communicator who engages colleagues and customers.
- Results‑driven, approachable, supportive and trustworthy.
- Energetic, proactive and able to see tasks through to completion.
