Casual Receptionist & Dental Assistant – Oral Health

About the role

The South Campus teaching clinic at Auckland University of Technology is seeking a casual Receptionist/Dental Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients and students. This role supports a busy, forward‑facing clinic that delivers oral health services to priority communities while providing essential clinical training for health students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage reception duties including appointment scheduling, responding to enquiries and coordinating patient flow.
• Provide chair‑side assistance to dental clinicians, ensuring smooth clinical delivery and adherence to accreditation standards.
• Maintain accurate records and support documentation required for student learning and clinic operations.
• Promote culturally responsive, patient‑centred services that reflect manaakitanga and accessibility.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to sustain a high‑quality learning environment.
