Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our growing systems integration team. The role involves designing, programming, testing, commissioning and supporting industrial automation solutions for a variety of sectors. You will work closely with clients, project managers, electricians and other engineers to deliver reliable, safe and efficient control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation concepts and detailed designs for PLC and SCADA systems.
• Program, test and commission PLCs (Rockwell Automation/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk).
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks and communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet and OPC‑UA.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Provide on‑site support during commissioning and after hand‑over, including troubleshooting and optimisation.
• For senior candidates, mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and client engagement.

Required profile

• Intermediate to senior‑level experience in industrial automation.
• Background in manufacturing, process automation or industrial production environments.
• Experience with brown‑field upgrades and live production sites is preferred.
