Jumbo Operator - Underground

About the role

Endura Mining is seeking an experienced Jumbo Operator to work on its underground development projects in New Zealand. The role involves operating a jumbo rig, leading a small crew and ensuring safe, efficient excavation as the company moves towards production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the jumbo rig to bore development excavation profiles to the required specifications.
• Install ground support in line with the Ground Control Management Plan.
• Provide expertise in the installation and maintenance of underground services and development charge‑up.
• Lead a small team, communicate plans across shifts and ensure compliance with environmental and safety procedures.
• Complete required paperwork, documentation and reporting in accordance with site policies.
• Participate in safety, health and environmental inspections and verification activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a jumbo operator in development or production mining environments.
• Proven experience operating mobile equipment in tunnelling, metalliferous or similar underground settings.
• Ability to lead a crew and communicate effectively across shifts.
• Commitment to safety, environmental standards and zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol.
