Air Logistics Perishables Operational Care Specialist

About the role

As a Perishables Operational Care Specialist you will be the primary contact for customers shipping temperature‑sensitive cargo by air. You will ensure smooth export and import movements, keep customers informed, and uphold Kuehne+Nagel’s standards of service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all operational activities for perishable air‑freight shipments, including booking with airlines and suppliers.
• Provide customers with regular, accurate shipment updates and handle feedback, complaints, and escalations.
• Monitor shipments, investigate deviations, and ensure timely updates in Kuehne+Nagel systems.
• Prepare and verify all required documentation in line with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Secure buy rates and capacity with qualified carriers when needed.
• Maintain strong data quality for customer reporting and cost‑aware shipment creation.
• Build and sustain relationships with airlines, transport providers, and overseas agents.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as warehouse, customs, CCI, and RCC to ensure seamless operations.
• Support the Perishable Customer Team in process execution, system automation, and account transitions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of export air‑freight operations experience, preferably with perishables.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and a passion for delivering customer excellence.
