Advanced Systems Engineer – Building Automation

About the role

Honeywell is looking for an Advanced Systems Engineer to join its Building Automation team in Freemans Bay, Auckland. Reporting to the Senior Cyber Security Supervisor, you will design, implement and support ICT infrastructure and OT applications across multiple client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage schedules and time tracking for ICT projects to align with approved plans.
• Design, engineer, configure, implement, commission and support ICT infrastructure (servers, storage, network, virtual platforms) and enterprise applications (Honeywell EBI, DVM, Energy Manager) for new and existing sites.
• Review and validate server, storage and network designs, including vendor quotes.
• Contribute to Technical Risk Reviews for ICT, networking and cyber‑security projects.
• Participate in the Global ICT & Cyber Security Centre of Excellence to promote standardisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT or ICT.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an IT Systems Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, virtualization (VMware preferred), networking, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and SAN storage.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Honeywell software (EBI, DVM, Energy Manager).
• Understanding of building support systems such as BMS, security and CCTV.
• Proven ability to work with vendors in construction‑project settings and meet deadlines under pressure.
