Accounting & Controls Manager – ANZ

About the role

Clorox is seeking an Accounting & Controls Manager for its ANZ operations. The role combines technical accounting expertise with strong leadership to protect and enhance the company’s financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accurate US GAAP reporting, accruals, balance‑sheet reviews and GL reconciliations.
• Manage annual internal and external audits, preparing statutory financial statements and key audit deliverables.
• Maintain and improve internal controls across Record‑to‑Report, Procure‑to‑Pay and Order‑to‑Cash processes, including quarterly trade‑spend accrual reviews.
• Own the SOX compliance program for ANZ business units and drive automation initiatives.
• Oversee GST, FBT and Corporate Income Tax compliance in partnership with external tax advisors.
• Lead, coach and develop two direct reports while championing finance process improvement and system projects.

Required profile

• Proven accounting leader with deep expertise in US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience managing month‑end/quarter‑end closes and audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations (GST, FBT, corporate income tax) in ANZ.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust internal controls across R2R, P2P and O2C.
• Track record of coaching teams, driving continuous improvement and delivering automation projects.
