Senior Project / Program Manager

About the role

ANZ is seeking two Senior Project/Program Managers to join its Delivery Practice team in Auckland. You will lead complex, high‑value initiatives that drive financial wellbeing for millions of customers, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage program delivery and governance activities, including finance, procurement, schedule, inter‑dependencies, stakeholder engagement, risk management and resourcing.
• Monitor program quality, performance and value realization to keep outcomes aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Identify, manage and mitigate risks, dependencies and issues across programmes.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large, complex programmes or projects, preferably in banking, finance, funds/investments or regulatory/compliance contexts.
• Proven ability to apply project governance frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong stakeholder influence skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
