Workday Manager / Associate Director

About the role

Deloitte’s Human Resource Strategy & Transformation practice is seeking an experienced Workday HCM Associate Director to lead functional engagements for clients in Wellington or Auckland. You will guide the design, configuration and delivery of Workday solutions across multiple modules, helping organisations maximise the value of their investment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance on Workday HCM functional and technical capabilities.
• Scope client needs, conduct workshops and perform AS‑IS/TO‑BE gap analyses.
• Lead business‑process re‑engineering and gather detailed business requirements.
• Design and configure Workday modules, collaborating with development teams to produce technical documentation.
• Test solutions and conduct fit‑for‑purpose analyses.
• Support the Application Support team with post‑go‑live tickets and enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Workday HCM consultant with current certifications.
• Expertise in two or more Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, Security, Learning).
• Strong client‑facing skills, able to lead workshops and communicate outcomes.
• Leadership experience suitable for an Associate Director level.
