Vehicle Technician – New Vehicle Preparation (Heavy/Light)

About the role

Scania New Vehicle Preparation in Wiri is seeking a qualified technician to carry out the final checks, configuration and delivery preparation of new Scania trucks. The role supports both heavy and light vehicle platforms and ensures each vehicle meets Scania’s safety and quality standards before it reaches the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial compliance and detailed safety inspections on new vehicles.
• Complete Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI) to Scania’s highest standards.
• Install and configure vehicle accessories, requiring solid electrical knowledge.
• Verify that all mechanical and electrical systems function correctly before hand‑over.
• Provide occasional support to service and repair activities when required.

Required profile

• Qualified Heavy Diesel Technician or Light Vehicle Technician willing to transition to heavy vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work safely and follow structured processes.
