Vehicle Service Technician – Automotive Mechanic

About the role

Join Tesla’s growing service team in Auckland as a Vehicle Service Technician. You will work on the latest electric and hybrid vehicles, applying advanced diagnostic techniques to deliver a premium customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostics and repairs across the full Tesla product line.
• Work independently and collaboratively to maximise service efficiency.
• Document repairs clearly and concisely, using a company‑provided laptop.
• Maintain and request replacement of service equipment as needed.
• Provide feedback to internal teams to improve procedures and products.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians when required.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a qualified motor mechanic or vehicle technician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, parts, and tools.
• Experience with diagnostic scan tools and electronic system testing.
• Creative problem‑solver with a passion for the Tesla brand.
